Format Painter in Microsoft Word and Excel 2010

When it takes you several steps to get a section of text or cell formatted exactly how you want it, you do not want to have to repeat those steps again for another section of text or cell.  So, there is this great tool called format painter that you can use to save yourself a few steps.  Format painter copies just the formatting of your selected text or cell. To use it, first select the text or cell that has the formatting you would like to copy.  Then under the Home tab in the Clipboard group click Format painter.  Next select the text or cells that you would like that formatting to be copied to.  Also, if you would like to use that same formatting to be copied to multiple locations, you can double click on the Format Painter button and you will stay in Format Painter mode until you click it again.
