Inserting a Sparkline on your Excel 2010 Spreadsheet

A Sparkline is a new way to creatively display your data in excel. Using them you can quickly and easily see trends in your data and they are super easy to use.

To use a Sparkline, first select the cell/cells you would like your Sparkline to appear in. Then select the Insert tab and look for the Sparklines group.  From here you can select which type of Sparkline you would like to use (column, line, or win/loss).  Once you have made your selection, a pop up window will appear.  The Location Range will already be filled in to the selection of cells you highlighted at the beginning.  All that is left is to enter the range of cells your data is in.  You can manually enter it in, or you can also press the button to the right of the Data Range and then highlight the data you would like to use.  Then just click OK and you will see your new Sparkline.
