PowerPoint Presentation – Arizona Masonry Guild

For the past 10+ years, Your Computer Lady has created three different PowerPoint presentations for the Arizona Masonry Guild for the Excellence Awards.  The first presentation is for the judges to review while selecting the project winners.  The second presentation is shown during the dinner presenting all projects that were submitted. The third presentation is the backdrop for the evening. Introductions are made for the MC and other speakers. Photos of the items for the live auction are shown during bidding. The head jurist selects photos to use in presenting the award winners. One of Your Computer Lady’s favorite parts of the evening presentation is the announcement of the winner of the Bart del Duca Award. Pictures are gathered from family and friends. The award winner is surprised to see their baby picture show up on the screen!

Printing a Page Range in Microsoft Outlook 2010

These days we are all trying to save on resources and cut down office costs. An easy way to do that is to print less of our emails, but there are times where we just need that hard copy.  So instead of printing the whole email, you are just going to print the portion you need.  Unfortunately though, where most Office programs allow you to select what pages you would like to print, that option does not seem to be there in Outlook.  Well here is where it is hiding; in the print screen click on the small Print Options button and in the pop up window you can now select a page range.

Filter Tool in Microsoft Excel 2010

The Filter Tool in Excel is very helpful when you are sorting through a lot of data.  You are quickly able to view only the data that you need.  First click the Data tab and in the Sort & Filter group, then click Filter.  Now a drop down arrow will appear next to each column on your first row. Click the arrow where you can select exactly what data you would like filtered out.  For example, let’s say you have a list of names and addresses that you send out newsletters to.  But, for this specific mail out you only want to mail to people within a certain city.  Rather than having to scroll through all of your data, you can simply Filter your list by the Column designated for cities.
