Microsoft Word 2007 - How to Add Horizontal Lines Quickly

Here are some quick ways to add different types of horizontal lines into your Word document. 

If you want to add a simple straight line, type three dashes (—) and press Enter on the keyboard.

Type three asterisks (***) and press Enter for a dotted line.

Type three underscores ( ___ ) and press Enter to get a thicker line.
Type three equal signs (===) and hit Enter to get a double line.
Three hash signs ( ### ) and press Enter to get a bold line surround by two thin lines.
Typing in three tildes ( ~~~ ) and press Enter to get a jagged line.
