Microsoft Word 2003 & 2007 - Quickly Generate Text

If you are trying out a new Word template and need to quickly stick a few paragraphs of test text in it, Word will generate text for you with this simple formula.

Type =rand(8,10) and press enter and Microsoft Word will automatically generate text that can be used to test page formatting, fonts, etc.

The numbers can be changed to fit what you need. In our example, the 8 represents 8 paragraphs. The 10 represents 10 sentences within a paragraph. You can adjust the numbers any way you want to get the results that you need.
